The 2nd FinTech Week Dubai 2026 is set to bring together financial leaders, innovators, and policymakers shaping the future of global finance. Among this year’s distinguished speakers is Muhammed Arshad Choudhary, Director, Regional CEO Office – AME, Standard Chartered, whose extensive leadership across Operations Resilience, Enterprise Security, and Corporate Governance has positioned him as a trusted authority in financial transformation across the Middle East and Africa.
With over two decades of experience, Mr. Choudhary has built a career defined by his ability to bridge strategic leadership with operational excellence. His work focuses on creating secure, efficient, and compliant banking environments for multinational institutions operating across complex regulatory landscapes. His expertise lies at the intersection of enterprise security, operational resilience, and financial governance—an area increasingly critical as global institutions navigate digital disruption, regulatory tightening, and emerging security risks.
Mr. Choudhary’s professional journey is uniquely diverse. He began in HR, Treasury Operations, and Cash Management before moving into high-net-worth client engagement roles. This early cross-functional exposure gave him an uncommon perspective on the financial ecosystem—insight he later leveraged while designing and safeguarding enterprise-wide operational frameworks.
His leadership trajectory advanced significantly during his time at Barclays and Standard Chartered, where he led major transformation mandates. He has overseen multi-country operational structures, executed complex regulatory programs, and built resilient security architectures. One of his notable achievements includes developing a multi-country Security Operations Centre (SOC) during a global crisis—an effort that strengthened the institution’s operational continuity across regions.
Beyond corporate mandates, Mr. Choudhary has played a meaningful role in supporting the UAE’s emergence as a global financial hub. He has worked closely with government entities, regulators, and law enforcement agencies, enhancing institutional collaboration and ensuring governance alignment across diverse jurisdictions. His experience extends to managing high-level international engagements, including VIP protocols for global leaders such as HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, former U.S. President George Bush, former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, IMF leadership, and CEOs of top multinational corporations.
Fluent in English, Arabic, Urdu, and Punjabi, he is known for his cross-cultural leadership and ability to integrate strategy, compliance, and security into cohesive operational models.
At FinTech Week Dubai 2026, Mr. Choudhary will share insights shaped by decades of frontline experience, offering a strategic perspective on building secure, resilient, and future-ready financial operations in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
