Philip is an experienced business development and solution sales professional with extensive Financial Markets knowledge. He currently is the Global Business Development lead for Onyx, JPM coin systems. He joined JPM in October 2020 to lead the Business Development efforts of Onyx in Asia Pacific, with a specific focus on Coin Systems and Financial Institutions (FIs). Philip recently spent 12 months helping set up Partior and specifically it operations as stand in COO for 4 months. Until Partior had been able to hire it’s own team. Subsequently Philip has helped grow globally, the successful JPM Coin Systems business.

Prior to joining JPMC he worked for IBM in EMEA, North America, Asia Pacific, and China across a range of roles; Business Development, Consultancy and Solution Sales. This followed on from his 17-year capital markets and Bank Treasury career. Primarily as a FX and Fixed Income Trader.

Philip’s last role at IBM was the Asia Pacific lead, for IBM’s Blockchain and Digital Asset based Payments Platform, World Wire. A transformational Payment rail and Digital Exchange Platform. Focused on real time Exchange of Value via tokenized assets.

Preciously to that role, Philip was the Global lead for Market Infrastructure, based out of Singapore. Developing and selling the full spectrum of IBM’s offerings to Exchanges, CSDs, Regulators and Central Banks with a strategic emphasis on accelerating the adoption and deployment of Blockchain/Distributed Ledger Technologies.

He has been a regular speaker at industry conferences (SIBOS, keynote speaker at CME Tech, etc.) on a wide range of subjects for IBM. Ranging from industry issues, technology challenges and trends. Philip was also a regular contributor to IBM’s Banking and Financial Markets strategic thinking. Where he was also a member of their prestigious Industry Academy.
